About the business and products

Who operates Antique Boss?

The website is operated by ANTIQUE BOSS LTD, company number 15497404, trading as Antique Boss. Our registered office is Little Holborough, Holborough Road, Snodland, Kent, ME6 5PJ, United Kingdom. You can view the company record at Companies House and learn about the collection on our About Us page.

What do you sell?

Our website currently focuses on antique prints and paintings, including hand-coloured Victorian biblical engravings and miniature countryside scenes. Check each listing for the medium, stated date, measurements, quantity and condition. The wider Etsy selection may differ from the website.

Are frames and materials the same for every item?

No. A print on paper and a painting on canvas need different handling. Check the individual description for its medium, support, mounting and whether a frame is included. Ask us if a detail affects your decision; a photograph of an item in a room does not replace the listing's stated contents.

How should I check size and colour?

Compare the measurements with your intended display space, checking whether dimensions describe the image, sheet, canvas or frame. For a set, check the number of pieces and each stated size. Ask before buying if anything is unclear.

Lighting and screen settings can change the appearance of colour. Review the available photographs and ask about a specific detail. These differences do not remove your right to receive goods matching their description.

What should I expect from antique or pre-owned art?

Older art may show foxing, fading, surface marks, creases or signs of earlier framing. The listing should explain material condition details for the actual item. A general reference to antique character does not excuse an undisclosed defect. Dates described as approximate are estimates for that particular piece, not a promise that every product has the same age.

How should I care for my print or painting?

Handling depends on the paper, paint, canvas, frame and condition. Avoid applying household cleaners or adhesives directly to the artwork. Ask about the specific item and seek a suitable conservator for restoration questions. If something arrived damaged or seems misdescribed, contact us before cleaning or repair so we can assess the problem.

Ordering and payment

Which currency and payment methods do you use?

Website prices are displayed in GBP (£), with applicable taxes included in displayed consumer prices. The payment methods available for your particular purchase appear at checkout. Check the final total before paying. If your bank account uses another currency, your provider may apply its own exchange rate or fees.

How do I know my order went through?

Check for the order confirmation sent to the checkout email address, including your junk folder. If you are unsure about the result of a payment attempt, contact us before repeatedly trying again. A pending bank authorisation can differ from a completed payment, and we can help check the order status recorded by the store.

Can I change my order or address?

Email us promptly with the order number and the requested correction. We will check whether the change can still be made. An order already being dispatched may be difficult to intercept, but that does not remove applicable cancellation or return rights.

Can I cancel before dispatch?

Yes, contact us as soon as possible to ask us to stop the order. We will check its status. If dispatch cannot be stopped, we will explain the applicable return process. UK statutory cancellation rights are not restricted to the first 24 hours after purchase.

Delivery

Where do you deliver, and what does it cost?

Our direct website service offers free standard shipping within the United Kingdom on all products covered by that service, without a minimum spend. Use a complete physical address; our current service does not accept PO Box or APO/FPO/DPO addresses. Contact us before ordering for an address outside the UK.

How long will delivery take?

Free standard UK delivery, with no minimum spend. Estimated delivery is 4–6 business days in total: 1–2 business days handling plus 3–4 business days in transit. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays. Handling is already included in the total. The processing cutoff is 5:00 PM London time (GMT/BST). Orders placed at or after it, or on a non-business day, enter processing on the next business day; allow an additional business day when the cutoff is missed. This does not promise same-day dispatch. If a delivery date is essential, discuss it with us before buying.

Will I receive tracking?

We send dispatch and tracking information by email. A tracking number may not show a carrier scan immediately after the label is created. Contact us if you cannot find the dispatch message or need help interpreting an update.

What if my order is late or tracking says delivered but I have not received it?

Contact us with the order reference and tracking details. You can check whether someone at your address accepted it, but we will help investigate with the carrier. Where we arrange the carrier, responsibility remains with us until you or a person you identify takes physical possession. You do not have to resolve a missing-delivery dispute alone.

Returns, exchanges and refunds

Can I return an item if I change my mind?

We accept change-of-mind returns within 30 calendar days from delivery. Please contact us and send the item within that period, in the condition supplied, allowing for reasonable inspection and any age or wear disclosed when sold. Returns are by post to the destination supplied by email. You arrange and pay the postage for a change-of-mind return; we arrange and pay reasonable return costs for faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods. There is no restocking fee. Exchanges are subject to availability. Your statutory rights remain unchanged. Original packaging is useful but equivalent protective packaging is acceptable. We accept new and slightly used products, assessed against their supplied condition and disclosed antique wear. There is no seasonal extension to the standard 30-calendar-day offer.

How do I return something?

Email support@AntiqueBossLtd.shop or use the contact page, identifying the order and item. We email the return destination and instructions. Pack the item securely, include your order reference where practical, and retain proof of posting. Contacting us helps organise the return but does not make statutory cancellation dependent on our approval.

Do I pay return postage or a restocking fee?

You arrange and pay postage for a change-of-mind return or exchange. We arrange and pay reasonable return costs for faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods. There is no restocking fee. A free prepaid label is not part of the change-of-mind offer. The full policy explains costs and earlier orders.

Can I bring a return to your registered office?

Returns are by post to the destination emailed for your order. The registered office is a correspondence address, not an advertised walk-in return, collection or showroom location.

Do you accept exchanges?

Yes, subject to the availability of the replacement item. Individual or vintage pieces may not have an identical replacement. Tell us what you would prefer, and we will explain the availability and any price difference before you agree. For a change-of-mind exchange, you pay return postage and standard UK delivery of the replacement is free. If a suitable exchange is unavailable, an eligible refund remains an option.

When will my refund arrive?

We issue eligible return refunds to the original payment method within 7 calendar days after receiving the goods or evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier, subject to any earlier legal deadline. An inspection does not restart this period. The payment provider may take additional time to credit your account; refund issue and receipt are separate stages. Contact us if you need the refund reference or help tracing a payment.

What if the item is damaged, faulty or not as described?

Tell us as soon as reasonably possible, identify the order and describe the problem. Photographs can help where practical. We will assess the appropriate remedy, which can include refund, repair or replacement depending on your rights and the circumstances. A seven-day reporting deadline does not remove your rights, and faulty-goods rights can continue after the voluntary 30-day return window.

Do these terms replace my UK consumer rights?

No. Our additional return policy operates alongside your statutory rights. For an eligible online purchase, you normally have 14 days after delivery to notify cancellation and another 14 days to send the goods back. The full return policy explains the statutory refund rules, including when evidence of sending the goods back affects the deadline.

Other channels, privacy and support

Is your Etsy shop the same business, and where can I read reviews?

We also operate AntiqueBossLtd on Etsy. You can read the marketplace's customer reviews there. Etsy reviews relate to Etsy purchases and are not presented as verified purchases from this website. Delivery areas, offers and platform protections can differ by sales channel, so use the terms applicable to the place where you ordered.
